What Can I Expect During My First Visit?

Every doctor's office operates a little differently. Hopefully, this will provide you with a little insight as to what your first visit at FRYE Chiropractic will be like.

The first thing you can expect is to be welcomed with a smile......and some "new patient" paperwork, including a full health history questionnaire. After you have filled out the necessary paperwork, you will then consult with Dr. Frye. This consultation is your opportunity to express your health concerns and expectations, and to ask any questions you may have. It is also when Dr. Frye will ask questions of you, in order to better understand the underlying cause of your symptoms.

Following the consultation, a thorough physical exam will be performed which will include orthopedic testing, reflex assessments, muscle testing, and a specific Chiropractic evaluation. In some cases x-rays may be necessary to determine an exact diagnosis.

If you do not need x-rays, Dr. Frye will go over the results of the exam with you, will outline a treatment plan for your specific condition (assuming it is a Chiropractic case), and begin treatment that day.

If x-rays are required, Dr. Frye may begin a course of conservative therapeutic treatment that day to provide you will some relief until he is able to review the x-rays. You will then schedule a second visit, at which Dr. Frye will formally review your x-rays and establish a diagnosis, treatment plan, and prognosis for your specific condition (again assuming your case is a Chiropractic one).

If your case is not one in which Chiropractic care can help, Dr. Frye will help refer you to the proper physician for your condition.

If you have had x-rays, an MRI, or CT Scan within the last few years, you can either bring those films with you on your first appointment or we can request them from your Primary Care Physician or Radiology Department.
